John Skaro
Erm, anyway, I’ve been busily plying a trade in advertising across two centuries. With some success.
My work for Dr Pepper and Cadbury Picnic is referenced on Wikipedia. When I launched the Fox AFL Channel, my “controversial” ad using the Pope made the back page of The Australian.
Much of my work (most of which I won’t bore you with on this site) has been acknowledged at most of the important-sounding award shows. Except D&AD, from memory. Oh, and Kinsale (I really want one of those Shark trophies).
Much more importantly, I’m most proud of doing work that works. Work that overcomes and even takes advantage of a degree of difficulty. And sells stuff.
Work that's as uniquely "me" as it can be.
Most of the work here is very recent. The writing is my fault. As for the Art Direction, well your issue there should be with occasional ECD, Phil van Bruchem. He’s got a D&AD, the bastard.
Together, the two of us are generally bursting to help.
